Initial Ideas

Introduction

In my initial ideas I have decided to base my TV show around the two programs “The Inbetweeners” and “Shameless”  The show will be based in a northern town/city in England showing the problems in the area and mainly the bad points about the location.  Firstly the show will follow four main characters and their lives and problems they face every day.  This will mean there will need to be additional characters such as the parents, brothers, sister and other family and friends.  

Characters

Noel – Is the main protagonist in the TV show with most of the storylines involving him, the character is regular drug user with no job receiving government benefits while still living at home with his parents at the age of 20.  Character appearance has long hair often wears long parka jackets and jeans.     

Barry – Goes to college full time often stays in rather than socializing with family and friends doing his homework and playing on various computer video games.  The appearance of the character is to fit the stereotypical nerd look wearing glasses and dressing in various comic book shirts.  

Adam – This character works full time and never really has much time to socialize but has plenty of money when he does socialize with his friends he often goes crazy.  The character is a bit older than the rest of the characters and has one child. 

Alex – This character thinks he is really cool and tells lots of lies to the other characters and often thinks girls like him and always want to be with him.  He family also have come from Poland and he also references this throughout the episodes and often drinks his parents alcohol.
